![]() ![]() Easy, done this many times over the years for all sorts of smaller jobs, generally center punching marks directly through paper, makes for fast and very acceptable results. Print it out to scale, cut the paper to size and test in/over hole. I hacked a hole to fix leaking plumbing, need to cover the hole neatly, so to scale drawing made up after careful measurement. Had a need for making a small to scale drawing of a coverplate for a hole in an internal wall. I have about 3 instances of DraftSight available. Well I did not think I would need to ask for help on this one, but am not making headway. I have just tested in Mint KDE 17 the emaill arrived within 10-20 seconds. If that return email message from DraftSight does not arrive you will be waiting for ever I believe. I do not know what happens but this is the 3rd occassion I have been caught, activation is in limbo. Unfortunately that is unlikely to be the case. If that message does not show you are likely to be under the impression/assume that activation probably is under way. (This email will arrive very fast, only a matter of seconds.) Now important: Immediately a message should show, informing you that an email will be sent to your box which must be acted upon to complete activation. Remaining 3 fields: fill in at your discretion No need to wonder about adding to repo, I think the legal problems are against us.ģ. This is a network local IP address you use for testing and 'other' things. The content in your hosts file is fine, that is standard. Since it seems to be working I will wait until something else shows up before beginning from scratch again. I had already done a lot work on this KDE32 system which was based on the latest ISO. I have no idea what is going on, well except I have not tried to install on a pristine KDE32 2014-07 base ISO, and then use the special starter line. Add to this it seems to work without the the special start line (perhaps this is the cache leftover). Of course when I answered the email again it worked. Clicked on it and DS started, brought up the activation screen which I almost ignored but in the end fill in again, to my big surprise I did get the message window about the return email. I wrote this post from Mint, then re-booted and returned to the KDE32 with DS installed, and very carefully went through my PC menu, now I found the DS icon here. I am mystified, I do not have the DS icon in the Menu and I must have tried to activate over 10 times and it fails to give me the message about a return email and I have just worked out if you do not get this message activation is not successful. I will give it 24 hours before trying again as I am in no hurry right now. I say failed because when it works a response arrives almost before you can change page to look at email. I have tried to register this morning but I may have failed to do the right thing, previously I found out I had to be dead spot on, no use of copy/paste will do. I think another heart felt thank you is deserved. Sit and wait and see if somebody will volunteer the building of an entry in PCC menu, or/and perhaps a desktop Icon, I know they are fairly simple. LD_PRELOAD=/lib/libuuid.so.1 /opt/dassault-systemes/DraftSight/Linux/DraftSightĤ. Open a user terminal and run the following command: If like me the icon not generated, then I would have to make one, unfortunately I am not much good at doing this, so I blunder through by using the next option.ģ. opt/dassault-systemes/DraftSight/Linux/DraftSightīy adding in front of this LD_PRELOAD=/lib/libuuid.so.1 would fix icon starting.Ģ. If I had I expect the starting command for DS here in the icon would be: If you have actually got an icon for DS in the PC menu, I don't seem to have at present. I don't think it is worth the effort as it is so simple. ![]()
